It’s hard to believe that the school year is ending. We have already started our graduation ceremonies and are excited, but sad, to see our seniors leave us.
Not only are we celebrating our graduates, we also are saying goodbye to our school principal, Mrs. Mary Deprospero-Adams, who is leaving us on June 30th after 41 long years at Western Area. Mrs. Adams has had a wonderful career at Western Area and will be missed by all!
We are also celebrating another milestone -Western Area’s 50th Anniversary as an educational & career center in Washington County. Please join us on June 3rd for a day filled with activities.
- Free food and beverages will be provided throughout the day.
- WJPA will broadcast live from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
- TV stations will be here to do a news story on our 50 years of history.
- To end the day’s activities, we will bury a time capsule to be opened on June 3, 2047, during the celebration of the school’s 75th anniversary!
We hope to see all of you on June 3rd from 9:30 AM until 7:00 PM. Enjoy the refreshments and walk down memory lane with our entire staff!
